Sunset til Sunrise presents Disco InFoamo 2

This is the flyer I designed for Sunset til Sunrise’s event Disco InFoamo 2. This two day event will happen Friday, May 13th at Altar Bar in the Strip and then on Saturday, may 14th at the Irish Centre in Squirrel Hill. The event will feature KJ Sawka, Larry Tee and a variety of regional and local talents.

B.A.D. Ass & Sinister Movement present “Revolution”

This is the flyer I did for the upcoming Sinister Movement and B.A.D. Ass. event “Revolution” on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Elks Lodge in Braddock (suburb of Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania. The event will begin with a free open discussion with topics ranging from politics and oil prices to the NWO and 2012. Talent for the evening will feature 45 Thieves, Ill Atmospherics, The Animal Crackers and What the Bleep supported by local acts Abduction vs Hooty, Tika, Eryn Evans, Kilo, Omen and Data C. The event is $20 and as always more info can be found at lolli.org.

This design was a cool one to do. The promoter provided photos taken from the controversial riots and protests surrounding the G-20 Summit that was held in Pittsburgh in September of 2009. The powerful photos were, in my opinion, the perfect background for an event titled “Revolution”.

Plur.Fm Website Graphics

This is actually a project I did at the end of 2010, but I have been quite delinquent in updating my blog (oops!). The owner of the soon-to-be plur.fm approached me to do some graphics for her new website, plur.fm which to put it simply…

“Pittsburgh Local Underground Radio showcases Pittsburgh’s rave scene DJs and music producers with a 24/7/365 radio station and scheduled live sets. PLUR.fm can be listened to on many devices. For specific instructions please check out our Listen page

If you’re a DJ or electronic music producer who plays music at raves in pittsburgh and would like your music on this station, please feel free to email us at info@plur.fm.”

For this project I created the logo, buttons (white text that rolls over to a colored gradient), as well as the footer. Although pretty different from what I usually do, the owner of plur.fm seemed pretty happy with the outcome and the website has been a success so far!

1337, Opus One and Sunset til Sunrise Present “Wanna See Something Sweet?”

This is the flyer I did for the 1337, Opus One and Sunset til Sunrise party “Wanna See Something Sweet?” happening on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Mr. Small’s Funhouse in Millvale (suburb of Pittsburgh), PA. The night features Japanese DMC turntablist Kentaro, San Francisco’s The Genie, as well as local talent Doverspike and Sunset til Sunrise.

This was a fun flyer to do. When I got the project, the name of the party and the the bar codes… I instantly wanted to do a meme flyer. Most of the memes are from the past few years, however as you’ll notice, some hail from the late and early 90’s. I believe there are at least 50 memes on the flyer… including “Hide You Kids, Hide You Wife”, “Backtraced It”, “Dancing Baby”, “LOL WUT”, “O RLY?”, “Hipster Little Mermaid”, “Epic Fail”, “I Can Haz Cheezburger”, “Turrets Guy”, “All Your Base are Belong to Us”, “Vuvuzella”, “Chocolate Rain”, “Deal with It”, “Homestar Runner”, and many more!

More info on the event can always be found at lolli.org.

Sisters of Sinister & Sunset til Sunrise present Freeze This 3

Excuse the sizing on this one (and the fact that I’m typing in blue)… I’m a little format challenged this evening. Anyhow, this is the flyer I put together for Sister of Sinister & Sunset til Sunrise’s event Freeze This 3. I’m a bit late getting it posted (the holidays were quite hectic as was the 9-5 job). Anyways, this was a fun one to do. I ended up referencing some mid 90’s design and a style much different than anything I’ve done recently. I think it turned out A-OK. For reviews and pics of the event visit lolli.org. Welp, that’s about all I have to say about that one! I know I have been MIA for the past few months but expect to see posts more frequently going into 2011. Thanks!! Happy New Year!

B.A.D.Ass. & Sisters of Sinister present FUNNK’D UP

Casualties (Tika, Nick Fury, Barrenzemo), Colin Pierce vs Naoko, J-me vs. Eryn Evans, & Trackzploitation. The event will be at the Braddock Elk’s Lodge. More info can be found at lolli.org.

Sinister Movement Presents Get Spooky 3

Here is the flyer I did for Sinister Movements Get Spooky 3. The event takes place on October 22, 2010 at the legendary classic venue… The Coliseum. Lineup features Empress, Lea Luna, Product 19, Kastle, and a variety of quality local talent. Admission is $20 and more info can be found at lolli.org.

Basic Blends at the Brewery

This is a flyer I made for a weekly in State College, PA called Basic Blends. Every Thursday at The Brewery underground electronic music is featured with a focus on the many styles of house music. Resident DJs are Jason Cuban, Walter Wadsworth, DJ Vixxen, and Marky K.

Oh… and a thank you goes out to the ever-so-lovely Disco Dianna for letting us (perhaps unknowingly) use her mug for this flyer! 🙂

412 Approved Presents Show Me Love 2

This is the flyer I did for 412 Approved’s Show Me Love 2. (Last year I had the chance to do the design for Show Me Love… found here.) I wanted to model this year’s design similar to last year’s. Of course I wanted to work with the fabulous Laurel Munshower again. We decided to do a witch concocting some love spells and potions and go with a deep red, black, and purple theme. I think it turned out pretty well.

Headlining the event are Vize and Mayhem. Supporting djs are Peterlee, Tika, Ryan Matthew, Ben Matrix, Sean Kramer, Bob Teagarden, Xero, RM, and Funkreformer.

The event takes place on October 16, 2010 at the Braddock Elk’s Lodge, Braddock, PA.

B.A.D. Ass. & Family present Uranus

This is the flyer for B.A.D. Ass. & Family’s 7th installment of their Planetary Series… Uranus. The party happens on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 in Pittsburgh, PA. More info can be found here for the event. Headlining the event are DJ Funk & Terry Mullan. Supporting acts are Lady Bandit, Rob Riddum, Ben Matrix, Eryn Evans, Jason Cuban, Eric Bliss, Funkreformer, and Xero. Don’t miss this event!
